Vladislav Kouroedov Joins Coaching Staff

The New Jersey Colonials are happy to announce Vladislav Kouroedov has joined our coaching staff.  He joins his brother, Slava, our Tier II skills director.

“Vladi” Kouroedov started playing ice hockey at age 5 in Tomsk, Russia; one of the oldest cities in Siberia.  He played for Spartak Moscow in the Russian Junior League and Soviet Elite League. His North American professional career included  Applecore (EJHL), Daytona Breakers (CHL), Knoxville Speed (UHL) and Jacksonville Lizard Kings (ECHL).  He also played briefly for the New York Aviators (FHL).

Kouroedov has 15 years coaching experience in youth hockey.  He is the hockey director for the VSK Wings Elite AAA/AA Spring Hockey program.  He continues an association with Vladimir Bure (VP of CSKA Moscow and former NHL player) and Mark Lapush with the NHLPA.  A professional power skating and skills coach, his list of former players include NHL’ers Evgeny Kuznetsov, Kevin Labanc, Sergei Tolchinsky, Jason Garrison, Sergei Kalinin; NHL Drafts Oleg Yevenko, JJ Piccinich, Nick Ebert, Nikolai Belov, Evan Barratt; and prospects Tyler Coffey, Julian Kislin and Arthur Kaliyev.

Coach Vladi is a gifted coach and teacher who works well with players of all ages.  He believes in making his players develop a true commitment to the sport of ice hockey.  His emphasis on power skating technique produces vast improvement in the players he develops.

The Colonials are fortunate to add such a quality coaching talent and person to our organization.  Please take time to welcome him around the rink.
